  • Shey-Phoksundo national park permits and Trekkers information management system (TIMS)
  • Dolpo special permits (Upper Dolpo special permits cost $500 for 10 days valid and after 10 days $50 per day which is included in the cost)
  • Experience Government license holder trekking guide, cook, and supporter porters.
  • All necessary land transport for Cook staff and porters.
  • Tented  Accommodation during the trek, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including tea and coffee while on the trek, serve by our trekking cook staff.
  • Dining tent, Table, chairs, toilet tent, and sleeping mattress.
  • Accommodation, food, salary, and insurance, for the Guide cook, staff, and Porters.
  • All necessary cooking gear, and cooking fuel.
  • If need a down jacket, sleeping bag, walking pole, or duffel bag, we will provide it without cost.

  • Permits and Regulations: Obtain the necessary permits for the Shey Phoksundo National Park and Conservation Area. These are essential for trekking in the region.
  • Trek Duration: The Upper Dolpo trek typically takes around 22 days. Plan your schedule accordingly and allow for extra days in case of unforeseen circumstances.
  • Weather and Seasons: The best time for this trek is during the autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) seasons. Be prepared for cold temperatures at higher elevations.
  • Guides and Porters: Consider hiring a local guide or porter. They provide valuable insights, assist with navigation, and carry your gear, allowing you to focus on the experience.
  • Accommodation and Food: Accommodations are basic tea houses or camping. Bring warm clothing and a good sleeping bag. Local food is available, but it’s advisable to carry some snacks and energy bars.
  • Equipment and Gear: Pack appropriate trekking gear, including sturdy hiking boots, warm clothing, rain gear, and a reliable backpack. Don’t forget essentials like a headlamp, water bottle, and trekking poles.
